NICHOLSON, John (Clonsilla, Dublin 15 and formerly of Irishtown, Dublin 4) October 1st., 2024 (peacefully) surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Beloved husband of Maura (née O'Connell) and much-loved dad of Cian and Aoife. Sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughter, mother Therese, father Jack, brothers Brian and Dermot, father-in-law Michael, brothers-in-law Patrick and Graham, sisters-in-law Sonja, Deirdre and Kate, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, god children , extended family, friends and neighbours.
May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home Blanchardstown on Friday evening (October 4th) between 5pm and 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning (October 5th) to the Church of St. Philip the Apostle, Mountview arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium (due 1pm).

I am heartbroken by the loss of John. Working with him was a privilege, and I’ll always remember his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering support. He had a way of making everyone feel valued and brought a positive energy to everything he did. My thoughts are with his family, and I hope they find comfort in knowing how much he meant to all of us who had the honor of knowing him.
We are heartbroken hearing of John’s passing. He was a true gentleman. The thought and prayers of the staff at Missus Tattys are with Maura, Cian and Aoife and all his family.

Maura Cian, Aoife , Brian and Family I’m heartbroken to hear the passing off your beautiful John. He was the most gentle gentleman I’ve met. We used to have some crack when we’d all get together The best memory I have is your wedding day maura in Thurlas..We didn’t stop laughing and dancing all night.
