SWEENEY, Michael (Mick) (Leixlip, Co. Kildare and formerly of Newtowncashel, Co. Longford). Passed away peacefully on September 21st 2026, surrounded by his loving family, and in the wonderful care of the staff at Connolly Hospital.
Beloved husband of Catherine.
Predeceased by his parents James and Margaret and his sister Carmel.
Mick will be forever loved and sadly missed by his loving wife brothers Jimmy, Leo and his twin brother Tom, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.
May he rest in peace.
Reposing at his home in Leixlip (Eircode W23 N2HO) on Wednesday evening (September 23rd) between 6pm and 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning (September 24th) to the Church of St. Charles Borromeo, Confey arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Confey Cemetery.
