Mary,

At this stage of inclement weather, I have almost given up hope of getting to St Bridget’s Church for Tom’s requiem Mass and, indeed, Ratoath for his burial tomorrow.

I was so sad to hear of Tom’s passing to Heaven, but have to bear in mind your unstinting love and care for Tom during his Parkinson’s kept him here for such a good stay.

If I don’t make it tomorrow, I would love to call to you next week – we’ll overdue – to catch up and talk of gentleman Tom at length.

May I also ask, if you or the family let me know Tom’s Month’s Mind date. I would love to be there.

I still have not given up hope absolutely of getting there tomorrow.

This is a terrible upset for all the Toole’s with family traveling from Meath, not to mention the huge number of colleagues from Aer Lingus wishing to be there.

Until we meet, God Bless. Betty Cremin
