PENNY (Nee Ardiff) (Leixlip, Co. Kildare and formerly of Spion Kop/ Wogansfield, Leixlip, Co. Kildare) August 1st. 2021 peacefully (in the loving care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Marie (Mary), beloved wife of the late Joseph (Joe), dear mother of Mary, Joe, Anthony, John and the late Paul and a devoted grandmother to Laura, Claire, Rory, Brian, James, Daniel, Zakya, Surayya and Kalil. Sadly missed by her loving family, sisters, brother, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces Sinead and Edel, nephews, relatives and friends R.I.P.
Due to Government advice and restrictions regarding public gatherings and to protect our most vulnerable family members and our friends, a private family funeral will take place.
Marie’s Funeral Cortège will pass her home at 10.30 am on Wednesday (4th. August 2021) en route to the Church of St. Charles Borromeo, Confey. Anyone wishing to stand along the route as a mark of respect are asked not to gather in groups and to adhere to all guidelines relating to social distancing and the wearing of face masks.

So sorry for your sad loss. Marie was always a great comfort and support to me in my work in the church. Her faith and gentle encouragement in difficult times was a source of strength for anyone who had the privilege of meeting her. This is the legacy she has left in Confey Parish and community. There is sadness here at her passing but there is joy in heaven at her arrival home. Rest in peace Marie.

Heartbreaking to hear the news. The most thoughtful, kind hearted person anyone could meet. Glad i was able to talk to her over the phone a couple of weeks ago, as usual she said she was praying for me and my family. I will miss her forever and may she rest in peace..

So so sad to hear of Marie passing, such a beautiful person always there for everyone with her kind words of encouragement. Prayed for so many people and would always have time to listen to you, her faith was was unreal. You would come to Marie with heavy heart and sure enough leave her feeling much better.
Her love for St Joseph I remember well, always helping out in the church.
and a great laugh , I will always remember her and her little smile, such a gentle soul. It was such a privilege to have her in my life in my 45 years living in Leixlip.
You are now Marie in heaven as I feel you were our little saint, God Bless you may you rest in peace . Marie always be with us in spirit and intercede for us.
