Established in the year 2000, Newlands Cross Cemetery is designed to fulfill the burial and cremation requirements for West Dublin. The Cemetery forms part of an integrated open space development comprising of 140 acres of parkland, playing pitches, an ornamental lake and wildflower meadows. Access to both park users and cemetery visitors is from the existing roundabout along the southern boundary off Belgard Road.
Newlands Cross Chapel/Temple and grounds are designed with the families of those buried and cremated here in mind. The building consists of three interlocking pavilions - the Temple building (used for cremation services), a beautiful circular cloister meeting area and an administration building containing offices, monument and florist outlets and public facilities.
