Virgilia (Jill) Downey

Downey (née Dignam), (Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 and Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan) April 9th, 2025 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at Drogheda Hospital, Virgilia (Jill), beloved wife of the late Tommy and much loved mother of Tom, Dermot and Shay. Predeceased by her brother Seamus and her sister Deirdre. Sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren Adam, Ciara, Conor, Tommy, Davy, Danny, Emmy and Alex, brothers Dermot and Padraig, sister Olive, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Blanchardstown on Sunday evening (April 13th) between 3pm and 5pm. Removal on Monday morning (April 14th) to St. Brigid’s Church, Blanchardstown arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Mulhuddart Cemetery.
