Very Rev. Diarmuid Canon Connolly (Retired Parish Priest of Castleknock) November 5th. 2020, (peacefully), at Elm Green Nursing Home, Castleknock.

Sadly missed by his loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended Drury / Connolly families, Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, fellow priests of the diocese, parishioners, relatives and friends. R.I.P.

Reposing in The Church of Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock on Friday afternoon (6th. November) from 2pm until 8pm with strict social distancing in place. Those attending are requested to wear face coverings and to use hand sanitizer.

A private family Requiem Mass (limited to 25 persons) will take place.  Those who would have liked to attend the funeral but due to current restrictions cannot, may follow the Requiem Mass on Saturday afternoon 7th. November at 1pm by following the link; http://www.castleknockparish.ie/webcam/

He will be sadly missed by many in the parish of Castkeknock. We grew up with Fr Connolly and he was part of the fabric of the community. He was very good to my mother and visited her every week at her home in her last months and presided over both my parents funerals. He will be missed.
