Seán was an influencer. I knew immediately upon our first meeting that we would be friends for life. That was 30yrs ago. I saw first hand how people were drawn into his world with out realizing it. His heart was always open to new friends, he was deeply opinionated on important things, his smile would calm a storm. I am deeply saddened by the loss of my brother, my friend. I will miss the “hey Murph!” “Up the yard Barney” “Bob’s yer uncle” and mostly “hey Macie Boy”. I will lift a jar in your honor Lad, and toast your amazing life. You are loved by all My Friend

This is indeed sad news. I wish to send my condolences to Megan and Shane as well as to the city of Austin which has lost a favorite landmark.

Dear Megan and family
Again l want to send you my condolences.
Sean was a larger than life personality which people seemed to be drawn to when he entered a room.
l am so glad l was able to speak to both of you earlier this year!
Knew right away l was talking with him by his enthusiasm and his famous ““You know what l mean”….
When l was in Zurich a few weeks ago l passed the Oliver Twist.
l truly believe that Sean was (and still is) a personality which will live on in that area of Zurich for a very long time!!
l wish you and your family my very best wishes and condolences.
My thoughts are with you.

Seán was a huge part of Zurich and a huge part of our lives, a very beloved friend.
He was the backbone of the Oliver Twist, the magnet that brought people together, the funny Irish man with the wonderful sense of humour, infectious laugh and the gift of the gab. He not only knew how to make everyone laugh but to also feel welcome and special, a rare talent.
He was known far and wide and his kind-heartedness, jovial nature and wit were legendary.
Seán was such an important part of our lives, and will forever remain in our hearts as an unforgettable and cherished friend that we had the honor of knowing. The wonderful times and laughs we had over the years are the most treasured of memories in our hearts.
Seán was one of a kind and his memory will live-on forever. Our deepest condolences to Meagan, Shane and family.

Seán was a uniquely warm, generous, kind person who was immense fun to be with. He was the beating heart of Zurich for those of us who arrived there from all around the world. He was welcoming, encouraging and kind and always ready with a song and a laugh.

I have the fondest memories of Seán and am so sorry to hear he was unwell in recent years and of his death. My deepest condolences to his wife Megan, son Shane, sister Christina, niece Helenita and the wider family.

Rest in Peace Murphy No. 1.
