HOEY (née Weir), Maureen (Navan Road, Dublin 7) June 9th, 2021 (peacefully) surrounded by her loving family and in the loving care of the staff at The Mater Private Hospital. Beloved wife of Charles (Charlie) and dear mother of Paul, Sandra, Brian and Linda. Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, sister Tess, brother Danny, granddaughter Holly, daughter-in-law Shirley, son-in-law Paul, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
May she rest in peace.
A private funeral (limited to 50 people) will take place due to government advice regarding public gatherings. When the current circumstances have passed we look forward to celebrating Maureen’s life with friends and extended family at a later date.
Those who would have liked to attend the funeral; but due to current restrictions cannot, please leave your personal message or condolence below.
Maureen will repose at home on Friday evening (June 11th) between 5 pm and 7 pm. Maureen’s Funeral Mass may be viewed online on Saturday June 12th at 11am by following this LINK followed by the committal service at 12:30pm (approx.) by following this LINK.
Maureen’s Funeral Cortège is expected to leave her residence on Saturday morning (June 12th) at 10:30am and will then proceed to the Church of Our Lady Help of Christian’s, Navan Road via Kinvara Road. Anyone wishing to stand along the route as a mark of respect are asked not to gather in groups and to adhere to all guidelines relating to social distancing and the wearing of face masks.

We were all very sad to hear about Maureen. As past members of SeaSpray Swimming Club we have great memories of both Maureen and Charlie. What a Team! She was such a lovely lady. We will remember her in our thoughts and prayers. Our sincere sympathies to all the family.
