DOWLING Matilda (née Franey) Mount Hybla Nursing Home, Castleknock and formerly of Coolmine, Dublin 15 and Stoneybatter, Dublin 7. 1st January 2022 peacefully at Mount Hybla, Matilda Bernadette, beloved wife of the late Hugh, dear mother of Robert, Linda, Paul and Rosemary and devoted grandmother of Rachel, James, Colm, Sheryl, Shane, Killian and Oisín, great grandmother of Louis. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, sisters Maura and Frances, brother Seamus, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Clonsilla on Friday evening (7^th January 2022) between 6 pm and 8 pm for family and close friends only. Removal on Saturday morning (8^th January) to St. Brigid’s Church, Blanchardstown for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross. I have lovely memories of Hilda and all the visits from Clonsilla out to Balbriggan the kitchen was always full of chats. Kettle going all the time. Laughing and loads of advice from Hilda to mam on different subjects, cooking , cleaning , travel , Hilda to me was an encyclopedia of knowledge, the modern day internet. Passed away peacefully on June 26th 2026, surrounded by his loving family and in the tender care of the staff at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown. Beloved husband of Mary and much loved father of Conall and Eoghan. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Bridie.

Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife and sons, brothers P.J., Mike, Paul and Liam, sisters Mary and Anne, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends, and neighbours.

Predeceased by her loving parents Michael and Joan Dunne.

Michelle will be sadly missed by her loving son Luke, sister Paula, nephews Leo and Benjamin and Tommy and the Burke Family.

So sorry to hear about Aunty Hildas passing, My condolences to all the Dowling family . I have lovely memories of Hilda and all the visits from Clonsilla out to Balbriggan the kitchen was always full of chats. Kettle going all the time. Laughing and loads of advice from Hilda to mam on different subjects, cooking , cleaning , travel , Hilda to me was an encyclopedia of knowledge, the modern day internet.
