SMITH (Mulhuddart, Clonsilla, Dublin 15 and formerly of Infirmary Road, Dublin 7) March 29^th 2020 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Jimmy, beloved husband of the late Margaret, dear father of Brian, Lisa, Barry, Helena, James, Linda, Sean, Celine and Sabrina and brother of David, Joan and the late Brian and Mick. Jimmy will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, brother, sister, grandchildren, great-grandson, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Due to Government advice and restrictions regarding public gatherings and to protect our most vulnerable family members and our friends, a private family funeral will take place.

We look forward to meeting everyone at a Memorial Service for Jimmy where we will honour his life at a later date.

<p>Very sorry to hear about jimmy. He was a hard working decent oul skin. I remember him as a kid he used to sit on the wall in Woodvale having a rest from the papers and talking to us bout the Gaa and give us good slagging. He was was gas man. May he rest in peace . Bootsy</p>

<p>To say we lost a gentleman from our neighbourhood would be an understatement.Jimmy was our local paperman a joker and an pleasure to say I grew up knowing him.His love for his family was truly unconditional and a husband that you don&#8217;t come across very often.His children are a credit to him and Margeret and although I know they are all broken hearted I hope they feel comfort in knowing they are together again.Look over all your family Jimmy especially Celine she will need your guidance. LYNN (née McVeigh), Marie (Coolmine, Dublin 15 and formerly of Belfast). Passed away peacefully on 9th July 2026, after a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff in the Woodlands Unit at Connolly Hospital.

Beloved wife of Brian and dear mother of Karen, Alan and Damien. Predeceased by her parents Annie and Gerry McVeigh, sister Anne, and her brothers Redgie and Gerard.

Forever loved and sadly missed by her husband, daughter, sons, son-in-law Dave, daughter-in-law Joanna, grandchildren Aaron, Emma, Tommie and Sophie, sister Sheila, brother-in-law Owen, sisters-in-law Nellie and Kay, nephew Simon, extended family, friends and neighbours.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at her home on Sunday evening (July 12th) between 4pm and 7pm. Removal on Monday morning (July 13th) to the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, Laurel Lodge arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium (due 1pm).

Kerry) July  6th., 2026 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, John, beloved husband of Goretti and much-loved father of Gerard, Martin, Derek and the late Diarmuid. Predeceased by his sister Catherine and Mary; sadly missed by his loving family, daughter-in-law Tonya, Milena, grandchildren Leo, Gerard, Abbegael, Michael, Liam, Luke, Harrison and Maeve, brother James, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Beloved son of the late Phyllis and Peter and much-loved brother of Carol, Michelle, Philomena, Peter, Johnny, Mark, Ashling, Martina, Samantha, Melissa and Daryl.

Sadly missed by his loving brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Removal to the Church of St. Luke the Evangelist, Mulhuddart on Saturday (11^th July) arriving for Requiem Mass at 12noon followed by cremation at Glasnevin Crematorium at approximately 2.30pm

JohnMelvinof Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, and formerly of Ballina, Co. Mayo, and An Garda Síochána, passed away peacefully at his home on July 6^th 2026.  

Beloved husband and best friend of Agnes, cherished dad of Noel, Lorna and Antonia, devoted grandad of Niall, Robert, Jane, Francesca, Anastasia, Kristina, Lowri and Joseff and brother of Martin and the late Mike.

He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, daughter-in-law Ruth, sons-in-law Martin (Beres) and Hefin, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing his humour, warmth and kindness.

To say we lost a gentleman from our neighbourhood would be an understatement.Jimmy was our local paperman a joker and an pleasure to say I grew up knowing him.His love for his family was truly unconditional and a husband that you don’t come across very often.His children are a credit to him and Margeret and although I know they are all broken hearted I hope they feel comfort in knowing they are together again.Look over all your family Jimmy especially Celine she will need your guidance.
