Gilbert Fagan

FAGAN, Gilbert (Blanchardstown, Dublin and of late of Coolmine Community School) June 30th.  2021 (peacefully) at home. Adored husband of nearly 59 years to his darling wife Katherine, devoted and wonderful Dad to his children David, Deirdre, Kate and Nuala.  

Extraordinary and special Grandad to his beloved grandchildren Aisling, Orlagh, Ciarán, Sophie, Mark, Meg, Ella, Abby and Alex who all made him so proud. Loving friend to his daughter-in-law Sinéad  and sons-in-law Colin, Mark and the late John and dear brother of Paddy, Fran, Chris and the late Carmel, Maureen and Joe.

Gilbert will be sadly missed but very fondly remembered, by his family, in-laws and huge circle of close friends and neighbours, as the wonderful and special person he was, for his quiet kindness and support to all during his 88 years and for being a true gentleman.

Rest In Peace

A private funeral will take place due to government advice regarding public gatherings.

Gilbert’s Funeral Cortège is expected to pass his home via Clonsilla Road on Saturday morning, July 3rd 2021 at 11:15 am (approx.). Anyone wishing to stand along the route as a mark of respect are asked not to gather in groups and to adhere to all guidelines relating to social distancing and the wearing of face masks.
