Had the privilege of working with George in the Army for a number of years. George and I both enjoyed Judo and attended many an event together and even managed to come runners up in an All-Ireland team competition in the early 1990s. George was a great friend to have around and while I got to visit him only a few weeks ago and go through some old photographs from days gone by, I was really shocked to hear of his passing. My condolences to his wife, family and friends, and while I cannot attend his funeral service this morning, I will partake online from here in Kosovo. Good bye George you legend!! RIP
