CAFFREY, George (Coolmine, Dublin 15 and formally of Xerox Ireland and past president of Coolmine RFC) Sept 9th 2020 (peacefully) surrounded by his family and closest friend and in the loving care of the staff at the Mater Hospital. Beloved husband of Vera and much loved father of Damien and Ray;
Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, grandchildren Leon, Harrison, Julia and Ryan, daughters-in-law Nicola and Catríona, mother May, sisters Joan, Denise, Ruth, Dorothy and Karen, mother-in-law Annie, brothers-in-law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
May he rest in peace.
A private funeral will take place due to government advice regarding public gatherings.

George’s Funeral Cortege will pass Coolmine RFC at approximately 12.15pm as they make their way to the Crematorium.

I’m saddened by the news of George’s passing. I have fond childhood memories of growing up together, starting school, long summers playing, a very large go-kart. Our paths crossed on Merrion Sq. about 25 years ago. He talked proudly of his son travelling abroad to pursue a career in equine. I’m sure he and all the family will miss George greatly, as I miss the days.
We have only warm memories and admiration for you George, our prayers , thoughts and heartfelt condolences to Vera, Raymond & Damien, all the grandchildren and wider family members . Bless you all and may God grant you strength. xxx

So sorry to hear the sad news about George. He was a lovely man who was always so welcoming whenever we were in Ireland. We will miss that smile and laugh and cherish all the good memories we have. Thinking of Vera and Damien and Raymond. Love to you all. You’re in our prayers.
George and Vera have been much beloved friends of my family for many years. I am profoundly saddened to hear the news of George’s passing, he was a true gentleman.
