Hughes (Palmerstown, Dublin 20) January 27th. 2018, (peacefully), at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. Ernest Douglas (Dougie), beloved husband of Lily and dear father of Lorraine, Wendy, Hazel, Glenda and Trevor.
Sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, brother, sisters, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Funeral Service on Wednesday (December 31st.) in St. Mary’s Church of Ireland, Crumlin at 12.00 Noon followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium.
Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Haematology Unit, St. James’s Hospital or Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross.

A great friend of so many years. You passing has left a great void, not only with your family, very much in mine, but also in your so many friends in different disciplines of Irish motorsport. To witness the tributes paid says it all. Such a talented amazing man, a true sportsman unequaled, a great man indeed. I feel privileged to have had you as a friend.
