Garry, Irene, Andrea, and Karl. I did not see your mother often, only once. That was enough to see her sense of humor and zest for life. When Irene and Claire came over to visit after Daniel was born, we went out to the mall shopping. During this time, I always wanted to pay the change that was due to the store because I didn’t want them going back to Ireland with American coins. Claire patiently tried to explain to me that they just exchanged the money when they returned. I had no idea what she was talking about so I continued to pay the change. After the third store, she gave up trying to explain the economics to me. I finally realized some 25 years later what she was trying to say. We had a good laugh at the time. Also, every Christmas, I looked forward to receiving the most beautiful Christmas card from Claire. It was especially endearing because she always mentioned my husband and daughter by name, whom she never met. The pain of losing your mother cuts deep. I pray you all find comfort and peace in your memories and seek solace in each other. May her soul Rest In Peace.

Dear Garry, Irene, Andrea, and Karl,

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Although I never met Claire, I’m blessed to have her son, Garry, as a loving, thoughtful uncle. She must have been a truly wonderful person to bring such a truly wonderful person into my life.

Sending prayers and wishing all of you healing and comfort.
