Caleb Powell (Lucan Co. Dublin and formerly of Templederry, Co. Tipperary) March 8th. 2023, peacefully, at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown.

Beloved husband and best friend of Gill. Much loved dad of Bob, Lynn and Dave, father-in-law of Áine, Fergal and Jenny and adored grandfather to Amelia, Nathan, Caleb, Isaac, Rebecca, Lauren and Ellis.

Pre-deceased by his brother Charlie.

Sadly missed by his brothers Baden, George, Arthur and Dick and his sisters-in-law.

He will be greatly missed by family, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Lucan on Friday evening (10th March) from 6pm until 8pm.

Removal to St. Andrew’s Church, Lucan on Saturday (11th. March) for a Funeral Service at 11.30am followed by a private committal Service at Newlands Cross Crematorium.

Laura and I send our deepest sympathies to you and your family at the loss of Caleb.
We both cherished our times we met you and Caleb since I went on the UNION in 2011.Caleb was great company ,humorous,honest and above all made Laura and I welcome for all our time in the IRFU ,supported by you .
I appreciated the fact that Caleb always mentioned his time in Munster but mostly Laura and I enjoyed his sense of fun ,his integrity,his commitment to Rugby and the sense he made to any decisions .
Unfortunately we will not be able to attend the funeral but wish you every support and will not forget his laugh and companionship.

A gentle, warm and wise giant, who guided and influenced for good so many pupils, sportswomen and sportsmen, and colleagues throughout his career as Teacher, Coach, Housemaster, Deputy Headmaster and Acting Headmaster at The King’s Hospital. Caleb you will be sorely missed at our annual club gathering as well as leinster rugby/IRFU meet ups .
Your welcoming personality and great sense of fun will be sorely missed .
