Alfie was such a dear brother and uncle, caring, kind and thoughtful. When we last saw him in December as usual he was on top form, witty and entertaining and that is how we like to remember him Paul and I will miss him but will never forget him. Rest in peace dear Alfie.

What twinkling eyes Alfie had which spoke of kindness and inclusion. He and Bridie welcomed me into their home on several occasions and renewed my faith in humanity when it was waivering. His country way spoke volumes to me and assured me my roots were solid. Caitriona, you are so like your dad, a big part of him lives on in you! Peter and Bridie too, may God give you strength at this time. Thoughts and prayers Deirdre x
