Mary O'Connor

Dublin, Castleknock

O’CONNOR (née Norton), Mary (Castleknock, Dublin 15 and formerly of Grove Road, Finglas, Dublin 11) March 22nd, 2026. Peacefully while in the loving care of the staff at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown after a long battle with illness which Mary bore with dignity and bravery.

Predeceased by her parents Alice and James and her sister Carol.

Mary will be sadly missed, forever loved and remembered by her husband James (Jim), son Kevin, daughter Helen, son-in-law Dan,  grandson Dylan, sisters Margaret and Joan, brother Gerard, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and relatives.

She will be also remembered and missed by her many many friends including those from her involvement with St Brigid’s GAA Club and the Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football Association.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Blanchardstown on Wednesday evening (March 25th) between 5 pm and 7 pm.

Removal on Thursday morning (March 26th) to The Church of Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 am followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium.

To honour Mary’s bright and wonderful life, the family ask that those attending wear bright colours.

House Private. No flowers please. Donations in lieu, if desired to St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown.
