SWEENEY (née Cullen) (formerly of Lucan, Co. Dublin) Kathleen, known to all as Kitty, passed away suddenly on Saturday 29th November, at St. James's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
A devoted wife to the late John Sweeney of Gortrooska, Kenmare, Co. Kerry for 42 years, with whom she is now reunited.
Kitty is survived by her children Seán, Pádraig, Peter, Conor, Siobhán and Lorcan, her grandchildren Ciara, Fergus, Andrew, Eugene, Ellen, Imogen, Mia, Robin and Fiona. Predeceased by her wonderful sister Alice Hurley (née Cullen).
Kitty touched the lives of so many with her warmth, kindness and empathy. A creative and artistic person, Kitty sang, played accordion, knitted, crocheted, painted, she was the sun around which we orbited.
Deeply regretted by her sons, daughter, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, neighbours and faithful dog Teddy.
The Sweeney Family would like to thank the exceptional care she received at the CCU, St. James's Hospital, the community nurses, and MDT, that helped so much in Kitty's final years.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Lucan on Friday (5th December) from 6pm to 8pm.
Removal to St. Mary’s Church, Lucan on Saturday morning (6th December) arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by burial in Esker Cemetery, Lucan.
