YOUNG (née Gallagher), Dympna (Leixlip, Co. Kildare and formerly of Wexford and Belfast) August 16th, 2026 passed away peacefully in the care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Beloved wife of the late Gabriel (Gay) and much-loved dearest mother to Robert, Mary, Gabrielle, Mairéad and the late Monica, devoted grandmother and great-grandmother to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loving sister to Bernie, Bridie and the late Patty, Ann, Paul and Jim. An amazing mother-in-law to Brian, Khalid, Alan and Irene. Dympna will be sadly missed by all her family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Lucan on Thursday afternoon (August 20th) from 3:30 pm with removal to the Church of Our Lady’s Nativity, Leixlip arriving at 5:30 pm. Funeral on Friday morning (August 21st) after Requiem Mass at 10:30 am followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium.
