William (Billy) Brophy

Brophy (Coolmine, Dublin 15 and formerly of Ballyfermot, Dublin 10) April 25th., 2025 (peacefully) after a short illness, bravely borne, in the loving care of the staff at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown, William (Billy), beloved husband of Helen and much-loved father of Paula, Gemma and Nicola and a devoted grandfather of Liam, Claire, Niamh, Ciara, Conor, Seán, Mark, Aoife, Ciarán and Cormac. Billy was predeceased by his sister Marie. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, sons-in-law Tom, Colm and Kevin, sister Julia, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Blanchardstown on Tuesday evening (April 29th) between 5 pm and 7 pm. Removal on Wednesday morning (April 30th) to the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, Laurel Lodge arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am am followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium. It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Gerard (Gerry) O’Reilly who passed away, aged of 61, surrounded by his loved ones on June 11th, 2026 in Phoenixville Hospital, Pennsylvania, USA. Gerry will be forever remembered and loved by his children, Meghan, Keelan, Jack, Conor, their mother, Mel and his son-in-law, Tristan. He was a dear son of the late Larry and Marian O’Reilly and much-loved brother of Linda, Aidan, Maeve, Brenda and John. He will be sadly missed by brother-in-law, David, sisters-in-law, Gro and Emma, nieces and nephews and his wide family circle. Gerry will also be sadly missed by his many friends, his colleagues at Vanguard and the athletics community both Stateside and in Ireland.

Forever in our hearts.
