Kildare) May 10th 2018 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at Moyglare Nursing Home, Maynooth, Oliver, beloved son of the late Thomas and Christina and dear brother of Patsy, Brigid, Bob, Cissy, Ellen, Theresa, Thomas, Phyllis and Gerry. Sadly missed by his loving family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Removal from Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Ardclough Road, Celbridge to St. Anne’s Church, Ardclough on Sunday evening arriving at 6.00 o’c. Funeral on Monday after 11.00 o’c. Mass to Donacomper Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Irish Cancer Society.

Our sincere condolences to Ollie’s family and friends. Our father Terry Roberts (room 24) is a resident in Moyglare Nursing Home for the past 15 months. Da loves horses and sports and found a good friend in Ollie. We don’t know why but sometimes Da called Ollie “Pete/Peter”. Never once did Ollie correct him, he’d always say see you Terry, or goodnight Terry and just smile and nod at us as if that was his correct name. Ollie would come down to Da’s room and bring him up to the bingo. They’d have great banter between them. When Da would walk us up to the door to say goodnight and watch us get to our car, he’d say before we’d leave, I’m going to go into Ollie’s for a while. When Ollie health deteriorated in the last few months, Da expressed concern to us and say Pete’s not well. I hope nothing happens to him as he is a lovely man. Da rang our brother Noel today and told him the very sad news that “Peter” had died in the early hours of this morning 10/05/2018. Ollie will never be forgotten by us. His friendship and kindness to Da will always be remembered. Photo’s of Ollie’s smiling face are everywhere in Moyglare. I also took a lovely photo of Da and Ollie in October, when some family or friends brought in a Sports trophy/cup into his room. It will be treasured by our Da forever. May Ollie rest in peace. Passed away peacefully on June 1st 2026, surrounded by her loving family, and in the wonderful care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Beloved wife of Paul and much loved mam of Áine. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband and daughter, sisters and brothers Mary, Frances, Jacqueline, Colm, Declan and Sharon, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Removal on Saturday morning (June 6th) to St. Charles Borromeo Church, Confey arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium (due 12pm).

Our sincere condolences to Ollie’s family and friends. Our father Terry Roberts (room 24) is a resident in Moyglare Nursing Home for the past 15 months. Da loves horses and sports and found a good friend in Ollie. We don’t know why but sometimes Da called Ollie “Pete/Peter”. Never once did Ollie correct him, he’d always say see you Terry, or goodnight Terry and just smile and nod at us as if that was his correct name. Ollie would come down to Da’s room and bring him up to the bingo. They’d have great banter between them. When Da would walk us up to the door to say goodnight and watch us get to our car, he’d say before we’d leave, I’m going to go into Ollie’s for a while. When Ollie health deteriorated in the last few months, Da expressed concern to us and say Pete’s not well. I hope nothing happens to him as he is a lovely man.
Da rang our brother Noel today and told him the very sad news that “Peter” had died in the early hours of this morning 10/05/2018.
Ollie will never be forgotten by us. His friendship and kindness to Da will always be remembered. Photo’s of Ollie’s smiling face are everywhere in Moyglare. I also took a lovely photo of Da and Ollie in October, when some family or friends brought in a Sports trophy/cup into his room. It will be treasured by our Da forever.
